| Jerry Carnicella is a professional vocalist and percussionist who has performed since 1974 with his White Shadow Band. Jerry played his first professional engagement in 1968 and has been tremendously successful as a musician and writer. Jerry has written music, lyrics, commercial jingles, and his book of poetry; 'A Generation of Reflection'. Jerry has recently finished this 'A Baby Boomer’s Look Back' after 2 years of reminiscing and research. Jerry helped start the White Shadow Band while attending New Hampshire College in Manchester, New Hampshire. After years of touring the U.S., Jerry settled in his home town of Patton, PA. Patton is located in the mountains of western central Pennsylvania and is home to many of the funny stories in 'A Baby Boomer’s Look Back'.
'A Baby Boomer’s Look Back' is a collection of funny and true stories about growing up during the baby boom era. The stories begin with our author, sneaking into the Super BowlTM. The elderly people back at the condominium seem entertained and amazed at Jerry’s story. Jerry then begins to ask himself: why and how he could do something like that without really more than an instant’s debate in his mind? A flashback takes him back to his childhood during the baby boomer years and the way Baby boomers were raised. The book takes the reader from early childhood to puberty, adolescence, and beyond. It describes the many influences that helped make the baby boomer generation different than any that came before or after. |
